John Martin is the owner of Martin-Stewart Contracting Ltd. and is responsible for the office management operations of the firm. He is experienced in the construction industry as a carpenter, site superintendent and project manager. John is a hands-on owner and is available to owners and architects to assist with any project or concerns. Employee of Martin-Stewart Contracting since 1977. Became President and General Manager in 1995 following the retirement of his father, Ron Martin, one of the original owners. Gold Seal Certified in Project Management. Construction Engineering Technician.

R. Michael Gracey, Project Manager

Responsible for field operations in liaison with General Manager/Owner/Consultant, and oversees maintenance and refit projects.
Co-ordinates the work from the office to the jobsite and with the design profession in co-operation with the contracts manager. Employee of Martin-Stewart Contracting since 1988.

Heather has been with Martin-Stewart Contracting since 1998. She is our Chief Estimator and is responsible for pricing most new projects that are out for tender. She takes a personal approach with our sub-contractors and is always most accommodating. Heather is also the wife of our President and General Manager, John H. Martin.
Jason Morrison, Project Co-ordinator
Responsible for the processing of shop drawings, permit applications, delivery schedules and change orders.Mohawk graduate in architectural technology and employed by Martin-Stewart the summer of 2008.

Jay Shipperbottom, Site Superintendent

Jay Westra, Foreman
Commenced employment at Martin-Stewart Contracting as a 4th year carpenter apprentice in 1999 and received his journeyman ticket in 2000. Assists site superintendents when needed and oversees, and uses tools, on various maintenance and upgrade projects such as offices, mall units, banks, etc.
